My friends were saying something, but I could barely hear their muffled voices. It took every ounce of focus for me to not black out. My head burned and spun as I tried to stay upright. Did someone turn the heater on? Why am I sweating all over? Ugh, don't throw up.  "I'm fine." No sound came out. "I'm fine!" Still nothing came out. "I'm fi-" C rash. Ugh, I guess I'm at my limit.
Long-tailed Manakins take on a "bad" student to dance with them. This is a symbiotic relationship. The bad student's dancing makes the original Manakin look much better in comparison, and the bad student gets to learn to dance better. Imagine that but in a group performance.
Boyfriend and girlfriend, one of them is the main character whose POV the reader sees. MC believes that they are two halves of a whole, and is very dependent in their relationship. The other one, though, is of a healthier mindset and constantly tries to help MC become more independent. By the end, MC realizes that they are not two halves of a whole. Rather, they are two.
A rumor of a monstrous person/creature living in a cave, where even the bravest and toughest of soldiers come running out, bloodied and bruised.  The hero goes in, and it's very dark. Even with a lamp, the hero can barely make out what's a few feet ahead. As the hero continues walking, whispers are echoing throughout the walls. The further in the hero goes, the more whispers there are and the louder they seem to get, until it's like they're screaming inside the hero's head.  There are also traps strewn around. Typical spike and boulder traps, but paired with the loud whispers, the hero is really put on edge. The hero is able to avoid them with relative ease.Gradually, the hero feels their heart rate spiking, their breathing more labored, and their vision seems to blur. The traps appear more frequently, and the hero is less able to avoid them like before. The hero finally makes it to the end, where there's an empty throne. The hero walks up to the throne, when s...
Backstory Rich girl and attendant, both same age. Attendant's family has served rich girl for generations, and live in quarters on the family's estate. As children, the girl would often invite the attendant to play when they both didn't have any lessons or duties to attend to. One day, the girl unexpectedly had some time, so she went to surprise and invite the attendant. She went to the servants' quarters unannounced. Before she made her presence known, however, she heard shattering as well as yelling. She looks through a window and sees the attendant being beaten, a shattered teacup next to him. He is being scolded for serving the tea too slowly, how his performance must be absolutely perfect for the family. Scared, the rich girl runs back to her house. Privately, she discusses what she saw to her parents. However, her parents tell her that nobles don't show preference to any one servant, and that is just the way things are. Hearing this, the girl is practi...
She looked down at the floor. "Yes, I want to be with him. I want to be with him more than anything, and I know he feels the same." Tears started dripping down her face. "But I can't ask him out. I can't. Because he'll always be uncertain about the difference in our status. He'll always wonder if a man like him truly deserves to be with a girl as high-ranking as me, and he'll always worry that he's dragging me down just by being with me." At this point, she was visibly shaking, trying so hard to keep from breaking down. "I don't care about any of that. I don't! If [guy] and I can be together, I would willingly throw away my title and fortune and run hand-in-hand with him into the sunset. But we can't do that. We can't. That's why," she took a deep breath to calm herself, "that's why, if we want to be together, he needs to be the one to ask me out. He needs to throw away all his apprehension and boldly ...
"Are you all idiots?" The crowd turned around to see (name), the murderer themself. "Why are you discussing what those victims did to drive me to kill them? Who cares about whether or not I was bullied, or if I was mentally ill? Those murders were my choice, and it is no one's fault but mine . I will not have you slandering and faulting those victims for being murdered by me ."

A peaceful Healer ally who can fight a little, but is mostly a friendly healer. The band of protagonists comes across the Hero, the legendary warrior who stopped the psychotic killer in the past. The Hero recognizes the Healer, and asks to speak with the Protagonist. "Why do you have them on your team?" "Huh? Because they're a really good healer and a really good person." The Hero scoffs and proceeds to warn the Protagonist that the Healer is a dangerous person who's not to be trusted. The Healer overhears this and is bothered. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back then, the Healer was the Killer that the Hero had stopped. They'd been addicted to the thrill of murder, hearing the screams and splatters of the victims they killed. After the Hero stopped them, they were chased down deep into the mountains to survive alone, where they came across an isolated ...
A forcefield that not only stops an attack, but hits back with the impact it deflected. Someone with this power (A) pairs with someone who has high attack and defense (B). (B) will get up to a high point, and jump down, striking (A)'s forcefield. The impact sends (B) flying, like a human cannonball. Great for infiltrating, invading, or just generally going a great distance quickly.
Group of people stranded on an island. Everyone starts foraging, building, etc. One person, though, just goes to sleep. Everyone is upset that that person's being lazy at a time like this, but they still have survival to worry about. The next morning, though, they find their stores fuller than they remember and their unfinished construction just a little more complete. Turns out the lazy person is just a nocturnal type of person.
"I am not worthless!" He looked at me with confusion. "Isn't this what you wanted, though? Everyone's stopped asking you for help, you can lie around being lazy all you want."
I guess this is the end. (Sister), I'm sorry. I couldn't avenge you. I closed my eyes, waiting for the final blow. I thought back to my sister, and the time she'd given me the bracelet. "With this, I'll always be there for you no matter what." ... Wait. My eyes snapped open. I tore off the bracelet, and a spirit appeared, embracing me, shielding me from the attack. The spirit looked at me. I looked back in her eyes, my sister's eyes. "Goodbye, brother." She disappeared.
I looked at him, sitting behind the bars, unkempt, staring at the wall. He glanced in my direction, then looked back at the wall. "Tell me, why did you do it?" He chuckled. "Why? Well, it doesn't really matter, does it? I committed the crime, and now I'm paying for it."
