A peaceful Healer ally who can fight a little, but is mostly a friendly healer.

The band of protagonists comes across the Hero, the legendary warrior who stopped the psychotic killer in the past. The Hero recognizes the Healer, and asks to speak with the Protagonist.

"Why do you have them on your team?"
"Huh? Because they're a really good healer and a really good person."
The Hero scoffs and proceeds to warn the Protagonist that the Healer is a dangerous person who's not to be trusted.

The Healer overhears this and is bothered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back then, the Healer was the Killer that the Hero had stopped. They'd been addicted to the thrill of murder, hearing the screams and splatters of the victims they killed. After the Hero stopped them, they were chased down deep into the mountains to survive alone, where they came across an isolated Hermit. The Killer tried to kill the Hermit, but was defeated. Rather than being killed or exiled, though, the Killer was invited to join the Hermit for a meal. After many months with the Hermit, the Killer had become a lot more friendly and peaceful, and the Hermit taught the Killer more peaceful magic, such as Healing and Protection. With that, the Killer decided to return to the town under a new identity, now a changed person.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Protagonist Team encounters the Hero again.

"You're still traveling with them? Guess I'll have to show you just who they are."

The Hero sends people to attack the Protagonist Team, and forces the Healer, in order to protect the Protagonist, to kill someone. This sparks a madness inside the Healer that had long been buried, and the Killer immediately charges towards the Hero.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You're no Hero. Healer was a changed person, and you decided to bring out that madness within them. You're a Killer."
