I looked at him, sitting behind the bars, unkempt, staring at the wall. He glanced in my direction, then looked back at the wall. "Tell me, why did you do it?" He chuckled. "Why? Well, it doesn't really matter, does it? I committed the crime, and now I'm paying for it."
From a young age, he'd shown great potential. He excelled in everything he did, from academic to athletic to social. However, this greatness made him lazy, and as time went on, his body grew weaker, his brain slowed, and his social life declined.
